Director of User Experience (UX)

The Director of User Experience (UX) is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the design and functionality of products or services to ensure a positive user experience. This role involves leading UX team, partnering with other groups on conducting user research and testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and engaging interfaces.

In partnership with leadership and across the firm, this role will also serve to align the voice of the business and client to steer and support product development through focus on client centricity with customer value on myRSM. The outcomes of this role are happy, engaged, and informed stakeholders - scrum informed delivery directed by business value - positive improvement in business practice and business change around client experience - and the delivery of client and business benefits through well-designed interfaces.

This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

User Experience (UX) and Delivery

Lead and build the UX initiatives to support the firm including the design of high-level flow diagrams, wire frames and tap-able prototypes to test or best present their work to stakeholders, written descriptions of non-graphical user interfaces
Foster collaboration and communication between cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and user-centric experience, including facilitate for project teams throughout the design process, gathering actionable feedback and iterating at the appropriate levels
Working with Digital Enablement, Adoption and Onboarding team and the firm's professional development departments, help with the design and delivery of training programs to enhance user proficiency and satisfaction with technology tools and applications.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve user experience strategies and practices.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of user experience initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs and expectations, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives.
Communicate to all stakeholders the ongoing strategy and achievements of the UX team
Work with the firm's IT team to find the right balance between optimizing user experience and the critical importance of maintaining a secure technology estate.
Remain laser focused on the priority of advocating and lead UX discussions; achieve best-possible designs and drive a design process and create a good end-to-end experience.
Collaborate with other designers, program managers, and engineering teams, working to prioritize UX design.
Solid understanding of branding nuances; experience using and enforcing the company brand in visual designs.
Design, develop, and maintain the UX standards, documentation, and assets related to the product's user experience.

Operations and Support

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain competitive
Ensures day to day support and operational excellence
Looks for continuous opportunities to support and elevate core team performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (required)

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

Experience and deep understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodology/techniques (Required)
Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEC) (Preferred)
Able to apply systems thinking to identify opportunities to align and synergize across systems/processes (Required)
Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of product solutions. (Required)
Experience in managing complex projects (Required)
Strong understanding of software development and product lifecycles (Required)
Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design (Preferred)
Proven ability to solve for complex problems in a logical and systematic way (Preferred)
Demonstrated ability to leverage data to make strategic decisions (Preferred)
Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen (Required)
