Job Description

This position is responsible for operating both Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses that produces forgings as specified by the Customer. The Operator is responsible for ensuring each member of his crew is performing their assigned tasks while operating and feeding the presses. * Follow all safety rules and procedures. * Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area daily and/or when required. * Arranges for material to be delivered to the line as required. * Confirms correct material is loaded inro the press. * Follows set-up steps as described in production set-up information and procedures. * Monitors machine operation ensuring billets feed properly and machine operates safely. * Performs Quality checks as per in process check sheets. * Ensures proper tagging of finished parts and transfer to finished goods area. * Maintains production board and completes all other related paperwork in accurate and neat manner. * Responsible for the safe & efficient operation of press line and all personnel. * Leads team ensuring changeovers are done in an efficient manner with minimal downtime.
