Your new role
Ramboll is seeking candidates for Managing Consultant and/or Senior Managing Consultant positions supporting our global M&A Transactional Due Diligence practice. These positions would be based in our Princeton, New Jersey; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New York City, or Chicago, IL offices, with remote and hybrid (office/home) options available. The successful candidates will have a background in consulting and significant experience managing complex transactional due diligence projects, conducting Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial facilities and/or facilities with long industrial histories, and assisting clients with post-transaction integration.
For this role, your key responsibilities and expectations will be:
Managing and coordinating environmental due diligence projects for industrial, private equity, and legal clients;
Managing and assisting with environmental compliance reviews of industrial facilities;
Supporting clients with compliance permitting, reporting and recordkeeping;
Developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence and compliance projects, managing project budgets, and managing Client deliverables;
Reviewing site investigation reports and providing conclusions and opinions related to the extent of contamination and subsequent recommendations for additional actions;
Preparation of technical reports that effectively communicate (summarize) findings;
Liaising with subject matter experts regarding other services, such as climate risk, product stewardship, ESG, food safety, and PFAS;
Formulating conclusions and opinions and communicating with clients;
Supporting multiple projects and meeting high quality standards on project deliverables;
Conducting independent technical analyses and directing technical analyses of others;
Independently preparing draft work products and reviewing/editing work products of others; and
Playing a significant role in client contact and leading client discussions.

These include:
A bachelor's degree or master's degree in a relevant environmental discipline (e.g., geology, environmental or chemical engineering, environmental science);
At least 8 years of experience in the performance of Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for various types of industrial facilities;
Experience developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence projects, managing project budgets, and managing Client communications;
Experience in the analysis of investigation and remediation of contaminated sites;
Experience in multi-media compliance support;
An Environmental Professional as defined by the ASTM E1527-21 Standard;
A demonstrated ability to manage and/or assist in the management of projects and staff;
A demonstrated ability in the performance of Phase I ESAs and compliance reviews of complex industrial sites;
Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills; and
