Job Description
The Office of Public Utilities, Electric Transmission and Distribution Division is seeking an individual to supervise all aspects of the Geographical Information Systems Department. The successful candidate will bring a wide variety of experience in GIS Technology and method and a desire to help guide the utility through the implementation for the next generation of GIS platforms. This position includes responsibility for the GIS databases used by T&D Engineering Department and the T&D Operations Department. Supervise daily activities of the GIS Department. Design and maintain electronic datasets to be used for the GIS platform and responsible for maintenance, modification, and operation of the hardware and software composing the GIS platform. Work with other information technology (IT) platform stakeholders to scope and manage IT projects impacting the GIS platform and perform field surveys with GPS equipment. Design and deliver training on the GIS platform and associated processes for various end-user groups within Transmission and Distribution. Provide general technical support and subject matter expertise at the department and enterprise.
