Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Warehouse Automation)

Job Description

Medline Industries, LP is seeking experienced Sr. Business Systems Analyst(s) (Warehouse Automation) to implement warehouse automation such as Goods to Person, Pick/Put to Light, and Sortation. This position will be responsible for integrating automated solutions into our logistics landscape. In addition, this position requires collaboration with Software developers, automation vendors, business partners, Operations and IT leaders, and end-users.
 
Job responsibilities and duties include:
 
Evaluate Warehouse Management functionality and configurations including picking, packing, receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
 
Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with users and management to determine business needs and translate them to system requirements.
 
Present innovative options for addressing the requests at hand and recommend the best course of action based on requirements coverage and effort required.
 
Perform functional analysis for designing solutions, evaluating options that include, but are not limited to: new software development, configuration of existing systems, business process redesign, new package/system evaluation or a combination of these options.
 
Serve as point person for addressing issues and enhancements related to the specific product and functional area.
 
Deliver software requirements to developers and serve as the developer’s point of contact for clarification and follow-up throughout the development process.
 
Manage implementation plans for releasing system enhancements or new Software solutions to production.
 
Drive process improvement within the team as we continue to grow with agile and DevOps tools and methodologies.
 
Focus on quality during all phases of Software development, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and implementation.
 
This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.

 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management, Managed Information Systems, Information Technology, or any related IT or Management field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained. Employer will accept a foreign degree equivalent.
 
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:
 
1.   Working with cross-functional teams.
2.   Demonstrated experience with development life cycle.
3.   Implementing or supporting automated material handling systems.
4.   Scrum or Agile principles.
5.   Reading and writing SQL
 
No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available. Must be in the office at least two (2) days per week.
