Description: The primary purpose of the Maintenance Assistant is to maintain the ground, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times. Responsibilities: · Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures. · Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed. · Perform Routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures. · Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called. · Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. · Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance services. · Wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc.) when lifting or moving heavy objects. · Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. · Keep your work area(s) free of hazardous condition, i.e, grease/oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc., to assure that all established safety rules/regulations are followed at all time. Refer to material safety data sheets when necessary. · Perform other duties as necessary. Qualifications:

+ Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.

+ Paint and drywall experience a must

+ No experience required, but some preferred.

+ Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.

+ Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

+ Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.

+ Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
