Architects, designs and provides technical oversight and direction of the development of cloud software for all innovation projects in the systems architecture group in the office of the CTO including system software, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and applications, as well as software structure and validation direction. Researches and designs optimal end to end cloud computing software solutions for cloud, AI, orchestration, enterprise, microservices, and/or distributed computing. Engages with major customers to understand use cases, participates in open source to influence architectures and optimize software, and interacts with technologists, developers and product/product managers across Intel to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Makes design choices focused on hardware adaptability, manageability, scalability, usability, and resiliency for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of industry experience as a software architect
Experience in designing systems software for new hardware – including those that are built on custom silicon and FPGAs
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Relevent programming experience in the following: Programming experience in C/C++, Knowledge in scripting languages, tools (Python), Debug and testing, Performance optimization and Data analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in development software for new AI accelerators
Open Source software development
Development with tools like Intel OneAPI or Nvidia CUDA
Work experience with modern AI frameworks like Pytorch, Tensorflow.
Deep understanding of AI technologies including LLM, RAG, Deep Learning

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, Washington DC, California: $225,175.00-$359,585.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
