Job Description:

We are seeking a Manager, Strategy and Alignment (People and Communications) to play a key leadership role in driving and operationalizing people initiatives as well as envisioning and implementing function-wide communications (e.g., function-wide moments like Town Halls and extended leadership team connections) for the Global Impact team. In this role, you will work with the Senior Director of Strategy and Alignment to drive alignment on key priorities with the Impact Leadership Team, including areas like talent and culture, ways of working, critical team touchpoints, and more – all in service of a stronger and more connected Global Impact team.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead the internal Impact Function’s communication strategy to translate our strategic ambition, ways of working, and desired culture, values, and employee engagement into live and digital team touchpoints

+ Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of full Impact team touchpoints, including quarterly Impact-wide Townhalls as well as annual employee celebrations (e.g., end-of-year)

+ Be responsible for the design, engagement, and continuous improvement of our Impact-wide communication channels, including intranet site, collaboration platform, and People Newsletter

+ Partner with Senior Director of Strategy and Alignment to outline clear strategies and initiative plans (i.e., inputs, outputs, meeting cadences, communications) to execute against Impact Leadership goals in areas of talent, culture, DEI, and engagement

+ Develop strong working relationships with Global Impact’s HR Business Partner team and Enterprise Change team to co-lead special projects addressing talent, culture, DEI, and engagement

+ Lead execution of key talent, culture, DEI, and engagement initiatives, including but not limited to engaging with Impact extended leadership team and function team members, managing external partners, and preparing readouts and discussion for Impact Leadership

+ Serve as a safe and effective listening ear and sounding board to function team members to represent “the pulse of the team”

+ Provide surge support to corresponding Alignment Manager owning function-wide Strategy and Finance initiatives

+ Support on Impact Leadership Team special projects as needed

Key Proficiencies include:

+ Vision-oriented and aspirational with the ability to envision immediate steps needed to move towards longer-term goals

+ Critical thinking, resourcefulness, and ability to ‘connect the dots’ with input from across the business

+ Ability to understand diverse partner needs and deliver the right and impactful messages

+ Excellent written communications skills with comfort articulating clear messages to large and / or senior audiences

+ Confidence leading and innovating with communications tools and technologies (e.g., WebEx, Teams, SharePoint / Content Management, Email, etc.)

+ Ability to develop well-rounded views on talent and culture and potential gaps, identify root causes, and partner with People to outline solutions

+ Change management or transformation experience with ability to outline implementation plans that drives agreement from teams and individuals

+ Self-starter who is able to independently establish priorities, initiatives, and drive to closure

+ Self-drive to collect data needed to determine gauge for opportunities for improvement

+ Thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong adaptability while maintaining attention to detail (including the ability to keep sensitive confidential information)

+ Proficiency in Excel and PPT, comfortable creating executive-facing slides and presentations

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Master’s degree preferred.

+ Proven experience in internal communications, change management, or culture

+ Demonstrated success in leading complex projects or programs requiring complex partner management

+ Passion for enabling first-class employee experiences

+ Experience working in partnership with leadership teams

+ Preference for interest in Impact-related subject areas
