POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title:Accounts Payable Coordinator
Reports To:Accounting Manager
Location: Rockford (IL)
1st Shift
Position Summary
Efficiently and accurately process vendor invoices while maintaining accurate records and in compliance with all controls, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently and accurately receive review, code, and process vendor invoices for payment.
Efficiently and accurately parks invoices that require additional support prior to processing (Invoice Resolution)
Ensures accuracy of account coding on invoices, and proper authorization is received for payments.
Supports vendor inquiries and provides timely responses.
Supports AP Team Lead in tasks - vendor statement reconciliation, payment process, annual 1099 reporting, received not voucher reconciliation, and other duties assigned.
Adherence to all policies, procedures, and controls
This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
Responsible for updating, tracking, and sharing/presenting related metric reports.
Active participant in department meetingsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Relevant Accounts Payable experience.
Experience with accounting software JDE or similar ERP platform is a plus
Proven ability to leverage current technology to drive process efficiency and improve accuracy
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Exceptionally well organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
Demonstrated proficiency with Excel.
"Roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in a related field and/or 1-3 years of related experience
