Continuing Medical Education (CME) Assistant

Position Highlights:

Position: CME Assistant

Location: Edward Hospital (Naperville, IL)

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

What you will do:

Respond to general inquiries concerning CME activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements for all applications, requested documentation, and activities.

Maintain complete and accurate documentation of CME educational activities consistent with Edward-Elmhurst Health CME policies and ISMS requirements.

These requirements include course objectives, attendance records, presenter information, agreement letters, survey results, meeting minutes and other required materials as dictated by Edward-Elmhurst Health's accrediting bodies which are Accreditation Counsel for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS).

Post information to EEH CME internet website and prepare recurring reports of CME activities. Collect and enter data from various sources, verify accuracy of same, calculate and/or summarizes data, and type tables and/or reports. Enter data into the CME software platform and participates in the audit as required to maintain accreditation.

Follow up with presenters and planners to ensure required documentation is complete prior to CME activities. Ensure accuracy of all required materials.

Collect required documentation and verifies presenters, activity dates, bios, disclosures, any required agreements, honorariums, etc.

Coordinate class education information such as registrations, evaluation results, and follow-ups necessary to complete and close the files post-activity.

Report required information to ISMS as required in a timely manner.

Assist physicians with the online Library as a resource to access articles when the Coordinator Medical Staff/Library Assistant is unavailable or when increased volume requires additional assistance.

Assist with Physician Services events as assigned. This may include Golf Outing, Physician Appreciation Dinner, Physician Summer Outing, and other events involving Physicians at either location.

Assist with the facilitation of new provider orientation as needed.

What you will need:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Healthcare or a related field, preferred

Certification: n/a

Experience: 5+ years of previous administrative support experience, required

Unique or Preferred Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle difficult situations and conflicts

Proficient with Adobe and Publisher

Previous experience with CME software, preferred
