Join our dedicated team of experienced Workday implementation professionals and become part of our dynamic, fast-paced, higher education transformation consulting practice. We are currently seeking thought leaders in the Workday Student space to deliver superior results to our clients. The Student Functional Architect is the "go to" implementation leader, expected to provide expert guidance and delivery for Workday Student engagements. Serving as the billable functional leader on Workday Student implementations, this person is a senior Workday Student product expert who works closely with Engagement Managers, managers, Student functional area leads and senior customer resources. This person will provide overarching strategic guidance and leadership on engagements with Workday Student to ensure a robust and complete solution that meets customer needs and allows for future enhancements with limited rework.

Responsibilities:
Solution Delivery

Provide functional leadership on multiple, concurrent Workday Student implementations

Oversee all Workday Student functional area leads on assigned implementations, ensuring efficient and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solution

Review and anticipate cross-functional impact of design decisions across not only all Student functional areas, but also across data conversion, reporting, and integrations

Utilize CynergyTM methodology to deliver Workday Student implementations

Continuous commitment to the ongoing optimization of the CynergyTM methodology, which includes assuring team members keep tools current and driving innovation for new ones

Ensures cohesive structure and project communications are in place for cross-functional delivery between Student functional areas and other non-student related workstreams

Team Leadership

Partner with Engagement Managers (EM) and Portfolio Directors (PD)

Serve as an advocate and escalation point for the EM and Student functional team and ensure issues are being addressed

Help the team to understand and adhere to methodology, and provide feedback to appropriate parties internally to support continuous enhancement of our tools and processes

Mentor junior project resources by providing guidance allowing them to learn new skills and functional areas, lead customer sessions, and configure the solution

Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels

Ensure that issues and risks are being discussed openly

Conduct internal QA processes

Workday Knowledge

Certified in Student with an expertise in at least one of the primary functional areas - Recruiting and Admissions, Records and Advising, Financial Aid, or Student Financials.

Experience delivering Student solutions

Attend regular Workday KSS calls for product areas

Maintain Workday certifications

Sales Support

Participate in Sales Orals meetings for proposed assignments

Assist with or review estimates for Change Orders for all functional areas

Participate in discussions regarding Student related functional areas that may come into scope for project or customer

Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Possess 2+ years of Workday implementation experience and have completed at least one full Workday Student implementation

Required characteristics: clear communicator, fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments while working well with and across teams to get things accomplished

Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects

Experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing and deploying solutions to meet customer requirements

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations

Higher Education experience, preferably 3+ as an subject matter expert at a college or university in a high level leadership role

Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed
