Job Description
Architect Designer - (Chicago, IL)
Be closely involved in the design of projects from schematic design through construction close out. Work closely with the lead principal to successfully portray design principles applicable in cultures east and west. Prepare submittal packages of drawings and sketches to obtain permits from local authorities. Coordinate with various civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants. Coordinate with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations, to prepare design drawings, and to estimate required materials, color, equipment, and costs. Prepare construction contracts and conduct periodic on-site field inspections to monitor compliance with plans. Prepare project, progress and feasibility reports, designs and plans using computer-assisted design software and equipment. Confer with clients, engineering personnel, and architects on overall programs.
