Job Description

 

The Senior BSA Specialist Investigations Unit is seen as a leader by their peers, has a working knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and an overall understanding of banking products and services, preferably holds industry certifications, and can fill-in for individuals when needed. They conduct specialized case investigations/Suspicious Activity Reports, quality control review and approval of case investigations/Suspicious Activity Reports, develop and maintain procedures, provide training, make recommendations, manage to identified KPIs, and is relied on for special projects. Act on behalf of Investigations Manager or Officers in their absence. The Senior BSA Specialist is responsible for coordinating training for new employees to the team and provides additional mentoring and support to the BSA Investigators on the team.

 

NOTE: This position is located in Rosemont IL and is hybrid.

 

What Youll Do

  • Conduct advanced and specialized case investigations/SAR filings and maintain identified KPIs.

  • Case investigations and Suspicious Activity Report quality control review and approvals.

  • Assists the BSA Investigations Manager in the daily responsibilities of managing the Investigations Unit, deliver on KPI instructions, meet Compliance and Corporate goals, and meet regulatory expectations.

  • Manages and coordinates training for new hires and provides coaching for the BSA Investigators.

  • Exam and Audit Assistance.

  • Project assistance, as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of BSA/AML experience, particularly in Investigations and SAR filings.

  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC laws, regulations, and guidance.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • CAMS certified or in the process of obtaining CAMS certifications or other BSA/Fraud related certification preferred, but not required.

  • College degree preferred but not required.
