Stationary Engineer NEEDED in Waukegan IL!!
Shift: Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11:30pm OR Tuesday-Saturday 3pm-11:30pm
Will join Union after 6 months
Description:
Responsible for repair and maintenance of pumps, motors and other physical plant equipment.
- Rebuild pumps, valves, compressors, and gearboxes, changes bearings, and seals and lubricates moving parts.
- Performs miscellaneous plumbing work on pipes, drains, and HVAC piping.
- May perform repairs alone.
- Repairs plumbing fixtures and piping using wrenches and other hand-tools.
- Cuts and threads pipe; installs, repairs, and replaces piping.
- Operates power and hand tools in repair work, such as wrenches, pipe threader, power saws, rotary hammer,
drills, tapping machine and related equipment.
- Installs plastic, galvanized copper piping above ground and underground.
- Installs or modifies wiring; assists electrician with repair and maintenance tasks.
- Operates sewer rod and cleans manholes; repairs sanitary sewers.
- Performs preventive maintenance in repairs on electromechanical equipment, and mechanical plant equipment
as necessary.
- Maintains operating records and logs necessary routine work on cards or reports.
- Uses PC for reports and records.
