Our team needs a Tableau Developer to provide understanding and insights to the Motorola business by understanding the data and business processes that are affected by that data. In addition to analyzing data and presenting visualizations in Tableau, this position also supports business processes and small programs that support the worldwide sales and sales operations organizations. Responsibilities can include managing the development and implementation of business processes that depend on the data.

This role joins a small team of advanced data analysts and Tableau Developers who support each other in small and large projects alike. Expertise is always available about Motorola data, as well as Tableau development techniques. Opportunities to learn and experiment with dashboarding in Salesforce Lightning and possibly CRMA are available.

Motorola is expanding the product portfolio through acquisitions and continues to integrate data, processes, which requires data exploration and finding linkages and patterns. Data includes Motorola's traditional Land Mobile Radio, as well as Video, Software, and Services. The work and data is diverse with a global community of stakeholders.

Data sources include multiple Salesforce.com systems (from acquisitions), Oracle and SAP ERPs, many in-house database systems, external data for correlations, Typical data analytics include customer order and revenue history, pipeline changes in products and territories, product and sales team performance, providing insights to data to make sales and sales operations more efficient and more effective.

The stakeholders and internal customers span the whole organization including, but not limited to: sales executive and field leadership, Marketing, Finance, Product Managers, specialists from acquisitions. The work is rewarding as the data and requests are diverse, and the stakeholders and customers usually learn something new about their business from the analytics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Explore and analyze data sets finding linkages, patterns, and integrate to existing dashboards

Develop and maintain new Tableau Dashboards that provide insights into

Manage some business processes based on the data analytics and dashboards - also referred to as a "product owner"

Engage with stakeholders in the broader organization to understand their questions about the business and how to analyze and present the data to answer those questions

Skills & Abilities:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related

Proficient in Tableau Creator Desktop, and Tableau Server

SQL development

Communication skills to present dashboards and conclusions

Work with multiple time zones around the world

Understanding of Salesforce CRM data structures a plus

Data Science approach to data profiling a plus
