We are seeking a professional and reliable Field Service Engineer to join our team. This position will be responsible for servicing multiple mobile MRI units out in the field. Training will be located at headquarters in Cottage Grove, WI. Training can be up to 1 year based on previous experience. Temporary relocation assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, necessary repairs and calibration on mobile MRI imaging equipment
Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher level in biomedical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Ability to travel as necessary
Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical

GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: Under the general direction of the Engineering Service Manager, the Field Service Engineer II provides preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical imaging equipment. Delivers quality service and maintains equipment uptime to ensure high customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs necessary repairs, calibrations, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for assigned customer sites.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan, manage, and accomplish company goals.
Works independently to manage time and multi-task with limited supervision.
Responsible for management of customer sites including maintenance of service records and schedules, tracking and coordinating preventative maintenance and ensuring highest level of quality in delivery of customer service.
Assesses equipment performance and works with service vendors to ensure quality and maximum up time.
Provides solutions to problems to ensure continued company growth.
Manages administrative functions including maintaining expenses, parts inventory and timely completion of field service reports and other necessary paperwork.
Maintains all company assigned assets including company car, phone, laptop, tools and test equipment in compliance with company policies.
Performs additional duties as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Associates degree or higher level in biomedical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Must possess valid Driver's License with acceptable motor vehicle record
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel as necessary, estimated 95%
Strong mechanical/technical aptitude
Strong organization, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsible for following and adhering to TJC/SMS Quality Standards
Must be independent and highly motivated
Must exercise discretion and common sense in handling confidential information
Must be able to be objective and separate personal relationships with team members from business
Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with client personnel and SMS team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional and ethnical manner
Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
Must be willing and able to train and assist other team members as necessary
Must have a general understanding of all applicable policies and regulations
Must complete paperwork, documentation and administrative tasks per company policy and procedure
Windows/Microsoft Office experience and comprehension
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sits, stands, and walks intermittently throughout the day
Squats or kneels and lifts objects from ground occasionally
Full extension of arms above head and in front of body
