Job Summary: The Field Engineer’s primary responsibility is the checkout and verification of projects sites and the development of general controls and contracting skills. The Field Engineer will be on project sites for the vast majority of the work week, going directly to and leaving directly from project sites and home. Job Responsibilities: -Perform checkout and verification of project sites. -Perform a point to point checkout of all equipment on the assigned job. -Complete a checkout book detailing point to point verification. -Checkout book to include all physical points on project. -Make detailed notes of locations of physical equipment. -Verify all hardware according to appropriate guidelines. -Note offsets, calibrations, issues, or failures in checkout book. -Communicate daily with Project Manager, Project Engineer, Field Supervisor, or Senior Field Engineer assigned to project. -Troubleshoot issues with any equipment on project site. -Write service ticket for any issue outside of the scope of the project. -Contact supervisor in the event of an issue outside of skill set. -Contact technical support when unable to resolve with supervisor. 2. Create and maintain daily logs every day. -Note equipment that checkout was completed on that day. -Note problems or issues that arose. -Note interference issues from other contractors. 3. Understand the scope of your project. -Know the hours allotted to you for your particular task. -Read through and understand submittals, mechanical drawings, specifications, and other pertinent project details. -Look for potential change orders and bring to the attention of supervisor. 4. Perform responsibilities with respect for self and company. -Arrive to project sites and meetings on time. -Dress appropriately. -Maintain vehicle according to company policy. -Follow up all phone calls and emails within 4 business hours. -Keep to project and personal safety guidelines.

MUST: -Engineering Degree – BSME or BSEE -Internship workings hands-on with equipment -Ability to troubleshoot mechanical based equipment -Ability to troubleshoot electrical based equipment -Ability to read and interpret; BluePrints, engineering drawings, mechanical drawings, schematics, etc.. -Ability to travel 100% of the time local to Illinois PLUS: -Experience working with mechanical equipment such as; boilers, chillers, air handlers, VAVs, FCUs, UVs, etc.
