About the Position: This position is located at the Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (JMTC). Responsibilities Formulate goals, plans, policies, procedures, and work plans supporting the development and execution of the Audit Readiness program. Plan, organize, and oversee all program and project management activities related to Audit Readiness. Apply accounting practices, methods, and procedures in the examination and analysis of regulations, laws, directives, ledgers, journals, accounts, and related transactions. Provide advice on accounting system functions, ensuring compliance with the organization’s business needs through analysis of detailed records and system operational information. Establish oversight for the implementation of internal controls and sustainment efforts throughout the organizational functional areas. Prepare briefings on status of major program milestones, accomplishments, and issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Support Fundamentals & Operations of Finance Oral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
