IMEG. is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking aCivil Design Engineer in our Naperville, IL office. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing or assisting Senior Project Engineers or Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis. This will be done through the preparation of reports, permit applications and construction plan preparations. Individuals in this role may have an emphasis in traffic, municipal, transportation or other specialized areas.

Principal Responsibilities
Perform basic calculations based on assignment i.e. hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, or calculations to balance site earthwork
Pipe sizing and loading calculations
Channel and culvert hydraulics
Highway capacity software
Traffic impact analysis
Flexible pavement design and rigid pavement design
Geometric pavement and site circulation design
Roadway Plan/Profile design drawings
Site grading and earthwork computations
Traffic signal design
An understanding of materials and methods
Interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs
Regularly has work assignments checked by peer or supervisor
Ability to consistently produce high quality construction documents
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3Dsoftware
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Prior direct experience is preferred but no prior direct experience is required for an entry level position
