Job Summary

The Chargebacks Team Lead is responsible for monitoring of daily chargeback operations and supervision of chargeback analyst's performance to meet department goals and deadlines, ensuring appropriate credits are issued and chargeback deductions are reconciled so that contractual obligations are met. Team Lead will serve as the first point of contact for supporting the chargeback analysts regarding daily operations issues and/ or concerns. The Team Lead will also provide claims processing and deduction resolution support, if and when, needed. The Team Lead is responsible for maintaining and developing strong collaborative relationships with both Wholesaler / Distributor and internal partners. The Team Lead will assist the Chargeback Manager with meeting department goals and objectives. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all SOPs are current and assist in proper Chargeback team training adhering to department policies and procedures.

The Team Leader will assist in the development, management, and maintenance of all business tools for the department. They will provide ongoing support, training, and development of team members by reviewing their work for accuracy and consistency, while practicing a proactive management system and providing constructive feedback.

This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Assist in leading staff to assure accountability and stewardship of resources in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
Assist in formulating key performance indicators (KPI).
Monitor daily chargeback operations ensuring claims are processed and appropriate credits are issued within contractual requirements.
Monitor daily chargeback operations ensuring chargeback deductions are reconciled within contractual requirements.
Supervise chargeback analysts ensuring department policies and procedures are being followed at all times.
Assists in, both internal and external, accrual reports and audits for the Chargeback Department.
Open IT tickets to report and resolve technical issues. Manage ticket status ensuring successful resolution.
Maintain consistent and open lines of communication with Chargeback Manager ensuring awareness of department status and issues.
Strive to minimize issues by demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and accurate performance of tasks.
Adhere to pre-established milestones and goals as a self-starter with a high level of initiative to drive results.
Work collectively with team in identifying new process and system improvement opportunities and identify, resolve, or escalate repetitive or complex discrepancies.
Develops and maintains written documentation of SOPs.
Must be able to analyze large sets of data and provide accurate and meaningful information and insight at the request of Management.
Maintain thorough understanding of Fresenius Kabi chargeback policies and procedures.
Acts as a subject matter expert for Model N system. Provides technical training and support to team and helps solve complex issues.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree; 5+ years related work experience; 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or related field experience.
Intermediate computer skills including Windows-based programs with solid navigational skills required.
Intermediate to advance Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills required.
SAP 6.0 experience preferred.
Model N experience preferred or any ERP system experience required.
Accounts receivable and data analysis experience required.
Pharmaceutical chargeback / contract experience desired.
Experience collaborating directly with large and complex wholesaler / distributor accounts is desired.
A strong understanding of general accounting required.
Attention to detail required.
The ability to work in a complex and changing environment with minimal supervision, make independent decisions and work within a team environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.
Demonstrate ability to build cross functional relationships and influence outcomes.
Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
Must exercise good judgment and possess excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
