Position: Clinical Risk Manager
Location: Naperville, IL
Full Time
Hours: 8-4:30
Responsible for Risk Management activities at Linden Oaks Hospital, a psychiatric facility located in Naperville, IL. Responsibilities include managing claims against the facility, interfacing with defense counsel, administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, identifying risk issues, conducting educational programs and complying with the Joint Commission standards, all within the objective of controlling and minimizing loss of the facility assets and promotion of quality care and patient safety. Additional responsibilities include acting as a liaison between patient/family and the hospital to address concerns about the patient's care and services, and providing patient advocacy to address concerns and grievances. This position has the opportunity for direct patient interaction as well as working within an interdisciplinary, collaborative team.
What you will need:
Required Education and/or Experience:
Minimum two years patient care or hospital operations experience
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field
Knowledge of behavioral health hospital operations
Ability to facilitate group discussions and to deal effectively with potential conflict resolution
Preferred License/Certification:
State of Illinois R.N. licensure
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
