Position Overview
This position is responsible for the administration for all types of Individual Retirement Account (IRA) transactions. Duties include basic working knowledge of IRAs and handling routine IRA transactions, working knowledge of all aspects of Certificates of Deposits. Basic working knowledge of Health Savings Account (HSA) and handling routine HSA transactions.
Essential Job Functions:
Administration of IRAs including rollovers, transfers, contributions, distributions, required minimum distributions (RMD), beneficiary options and general IRS regulations that pertain to IRAs.
Communicates with Retail Staff on CD, HSA & IRA issues. Assists in providing answers to routine, basic questions.
Assists with IRA transactions processed by bank branch staff and ensures all documentation is reviewed and scanned.
Assists with CD transactions processed by bank branch staff and ensures all documentation is reviewed and scanned.
Assists with HSA transactions processed by bank branch staff and ensures all documentation is reviewed and scanned.
Assists in completing & processing External IRA and HSA Transfers and Death Distributions
Daily balancing of the CD Interest Forecast.
Performs various other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma and two or more years of banking experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies
Understanding of Jack Henry (Core System).
Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates basic knowledge of IRA/CD/HSA rules and regulations.
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage large amounts of data according to policy/procedure/regulation.
Preferred, but not required
Experience working with Time Deposit (CD, HSA & IRAs) products.
Prior experience using Jack Henry (Core System).
