Lifelong Access is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing team of early intervention specialists. In this position, you will provide gross motor treatment for children ages birth to 18 years of age.  The Therapist Assistant is responsible for following treatment plans as set into place by the supervising physical therapist for children supported in Pediatric Therapy. Services provided are both clinic and community based. Pay:                       Hourly; based on experience
Job Type:             Full-time or Part-Time

Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Implement treatment program for each child based on goals and objectives written into treatment plan by Physical Therapist. 
  2. Develop strategies/techniques for home program as well as providing individualized treatment directly to each child.
  3. Work as a team member as part of the transdisciplinary team, consulting and collaborating with members of other disciplines.
  4. Responsible for individual documentation as required for state Early Intervention Program and insurance reimbursement purposes.
  5. Write progress notes for each child, including behavioral objectives and observations for each session.
  6. Participate in supervisory meetings with Physical Therapist as needed to meet requirements for licensing and certification.


Qualifications for this position include:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in State of Illinois required.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license with driving record in good standing required.
  • Current proof of automobile insurance required.
