The Aerospace Engineering/Marketing Intern position will be focused on the evolving Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing Vehicles being developed (eVTOL). We are looking for an individual that will be engaged in mapping and identifying the requirements of the sub-systems in use on the many OEM developers of these aircraft. This will allow a targeted approach for our product development for Electric Aircraft moving forward.
Responsibilities:
Mapping and Identification of major sub-system suppliers for the many eVTOL manufacturers. There are approximately twenty leading companies which are developing new eVTOL aircraft.
Deep Dive into those Aircraft Sub-Systems in order to understand which products may be adjacent to Rexnord current offerings
Support an initiative to vertically integrate our many RRX products into Electro-Mechanical Actuation which may be used on eVTOL aircraft. Specifically for Flight Control, Cockpit Controls, and Landing Gear systems.
Aid in "Tech Day" presentations to eVTOL companies, and their major sub-system suppliers, on new product development initiatives.
Expand Competitor Profiles for products adjacent to current Rexnord offerings.
Expand Strategic Customer profiles with gained knowledge of their products offerings.
Work with marketing to expand current Aircraft Application Maps.
Job Requirements
This position requires the application to be a US Person with an US permanent residence. A US Person a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
Currently enrolled in a four year engineering Bachelors program, preferably Aerospace Engineering.
At least one year of engineering coursework completed.
Basic understanding of key mechanical design and manufacturing principles, such as Statics, Dynamics, Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Materials and Heat Transfer.
Ability to extract critical data and analyze data to make informed decisions.
Excellent computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
Team orientated with the ability to work in a team environment.
