Description:

Position Summary
The Research Associate I will be participating in translational Dry Eye & Ocular Graft Versus Host Disease research. The Research Associate I will assist the Principal Investigator with clinical trials management, IRB submissions, and conduct literature searches and writing for Ocular Graft Versus Host Disease research.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist Principal Investigator with manuscript and grant preparation and submissions.
Help in obtaining, completing, and submitting appropriate forms for regulatory approvals.
Assist Principal Investigator with performing surveys, interviews, observations or uses other methods according to established research protocols.
Analyze and generate imaging and history data from recruited patients seen in the Dry Eye & ocular GVHD Clinic.
Collaborate with Ophthalmology's Clinical Research Coordinators to execute details of studies per sponsor agreement.
Conduct literature searches and writing for Ocular Graft Versus Host Disease
Order research supplies and maintain inventories and equipment
Maintain detailed records of results and prepare written reports.
Maintain and process required paperwork.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required.
Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures.
Entry level knowledge of research methods.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual Spanish/English
2 years experience in Ophthalmology research and/or clinical setting preferred.
Proficiency in ophthalmology terminologies and methodologies preferred.
