Position Summary
The role of Associate Director, Business Career Center Engagement will manage a team of staff who support corporate engagement and career advising efforts. Implement Business Career Center strategies to expand and support early talent, internship and entry-level opportunities through corporate relationships and career preparation efforts. Promotes Business Career Center activities to students, faculty, staff and employers and fosters an environment of collaboration and teamwork.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage an engagement team for the Business Career Center. Supervise direct reports including Program Student Advisors who serve as Career Coaches and Recruiting Coordinators. Foster a team approach to support early talent development, internship readiness, internship and post-graduate outcome success.
Responsible for the delivery of career exploration and planning, internship readiness, internship and post-graduate outcome success. Provide oversight of peer advising activities, early talent development and internship ready programming.
Promote and generate visibility of the Business Career Center with local, regional and national employers to identify and cultivate opportunities. Direct staff efforts to deliver interested and qualified talent. Solicit and collect feedback from employers and students.
Maintain a calendar of events, solicit corporate executives, human resource professionals and alumni for participation in career related events. Coordinate career related programming with UIC Business student organizations, diversity resources and external partners. Promote, solicit, and track engagement of students and employers.
Partner with key faculty, communicate events and opportunities, provide annual updates and participate in departmental meetings. Represent the Business Career Center on college wide initiatives.
Manage the collection of feedback and hiring results from employers and students. Coordinate the process with the BCC data team, provide regular updates and periodic reports.
Responsible for the oversight of special projects relevant to the individual engagement team.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree

A minimum of 3 years' experience in employer relations, career advising, recruitment, human resources, marketing, or related field

Knowledge of: Employer relations; Business development; Campus recruitment; Student development; HR functions; Workshop development

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
