Job Description

Position Highlights:
Position: Research Manager
Location: Skokie, IL, Evanston, IL, locations may vary
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, times may vary
Required Travel: May be requested on occasion

What you will do:
Hiring/training new research staff
Manage day-to-day operations for research staff and PIs
Improve flow and efficiencies for research workflows
Partner with finance to conduct monthly finance meetings with PI teams to ensure study invoices are completed and deficits are avoided.
Partner with NS Leadership for operational updates
Assist with study start-up/budgeting/recruiting approvals
Review/approve time cards for direct reports (research coordinators/research Nurses/Research assistants)
Conduct annual reviews and manage HR issues for direct reports
Provide subject matter expertise for research to other programs
Troubleshoot facilities issues (HIT for computer issues, facilities workorder, etc.)
Other duties as assigned

What you will need:
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: General knowledge of "Good Clinical Practices" and research processes. Experience in a clinical research or related setting with increasing responsibility preferred. Prior supervisory and research budget experience preferred.
Strong communicator/Excel/Microsoft Office
