INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING & MANAGEMENT SCIENCES (IEMS)
We invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment at the level of assistant professor in IEMS at Northwestern University. The search is for candidates at the interface of data science/machine learning and industrial engineering, operations research, and management science, including optimization, statistical learning, computational social science, healthcare, logistics, and operations. Applicants should hold an earned PhD or be near completion of their doctoral studies with demonstrated research potential in related fields.A commitment to rigorous and relevant research is essential.
The hire will have opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration via broad research initiatives and centers, including the, , in IEMS, and ,, , in the McCormick School of Engineering.
IEMS offers an undergraduate degree and a data science & engineering minor, a PhD program, and master's degrees in machine learning & data science and in engineering management. Both the undergraduate and doctoral programs are consistently ranked among the top ten by US News & World Report.
