Position: Programmer Analyst II - ServiceNow
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 430pm
On Call Rotation
A Brief Overview:
The Programmer Analyst II (Service Now) is responsible for working with the ServiceNow platform. Designing, coding, and troubleshooting applications. In addition to working on custom applications, ServiceNow Programmer Analysts manages the platform and infrastructure. leading the administration development, operation, education and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. Mentoring other team members in integration, monitoring, and implementing best practices in workflows and design.
What you will do:
Designs, develops, and supports the ServiceNow platform.
Develops and supports software integrations.
Creates, modifies and maintains documentation of application code and workflow(s).
Creates, modifies and maintains reports required for business purposes.
Ensures stability and implement architectural changes when necessary.
Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements.
Ability to create and execute test scenarios in addition to analyzing and clearly documenting all programming defects (software bugs) that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.
Identifies and recommends system enhancements/improvements.
Utilizes analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or similar field; or comparable experience.
Must have the following certifications; ServiceNow System Administrator & ServiceNow App Dev
Scripting and Development:Utilize advanced scripting (JavaScript, Glide Script) skills to create and optimize business rules, client scripts, and server-side scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency
A minimum of three years of experience in ServiceNow development, administration and analytics.
Minimum three years working with the ServiceNow platform with the majority of that time dedicated to analyst activities.
Able to communicate and translate complex technical terms into understandable simple terms for all customer groups.
Advanced knowledge of procedures, utilities, programming languages and operating systems.
Demonstrated ability to write computer code.
Uses logic and methods to problem solve.
Demonstrates effective technical troubleshooting and code debugging skills.
