Consultant, Technology Consulting, Technology Transformation (Strategy and Transformation) - Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.

 
Manage projects of multiple client engagements and provide strategic insights to leadership. Work with IT and business leadership to assess IT issues and opportunities. Develop resources by providing effective performance feedback and making sure responsibilities are consistent with individual’s skills and goals. Work with clients to analyze, formulate, design, mobilize and drive strategic transformation initiatives. Advise clients on strategic challenges and opportunities surrounding technology strategy transformation. Help clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization. Help clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

  
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience within the Financial Services or Insurance industry or as a consultant in a professional services firm. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field and 4 years of related work experience within the Financial Services or Insurance industry or as a consultant in a professional services firm.

 
Must have 3 years of experience in the following delivery skills:

- Project scoping and sizing

- Subject matter direction and guidance to a team

- Schedule and budget management

- Communications management with project sponsors and work stream delivery.

 
Must have 4 years of experience with at least 4 of the following technical competencies / functional areas: 
- Communicating with executive level professionals, focused on synthesizing and re-framing content

- Experience with IT management processes, industry risk, IT program management, systems development lifecycles, or IT function and IT value delivery

- Cost optimization and portfolio rationalization

- IT domains including application development and lifecycle management, testing, IT operations and production support, IT infrastructure, IT planning, IT process improvement strategy, IT governance, risk, or controls

- Stand-alone and Carve-Out analysis for divestitures, IT synergy analysis for mergers and acquisitions, Buy-side and sell-side IT pre-deal due-diligence, post deal or Value Creation engagements
- Experience delivering: IT global delivery model, IT workforce optimization, IT service management, IT operating model such as business alignment, delivery capabilities, shared services, or centers of excellence, IT sourcing, IT vendor management or IT service management such as assess, design, or build 

- Industry experience in at least one of the following: banking and capital markets, Insurance such as Life and Health, Property and Casualty or similar, or wealth and asset management.

 
Must have 3 years of experience with data visualization and Microsoft PowerPoint skills, focused on building presentations.

 
Must have 2 years of experience with core banking platforms, capital market systems, insurance policy administration, insurance claims management, market data, digital assets or cryptocurrency platforms.
 
Requires domestic and international travel up to 80% to serve client needs.
