Marcum LLP has a full time opening for a Partner, Chief Operating Officer - Client Accounting & Advisory Services (COO-CAS). This role will be a high-impact position assisting national CAS leadership in their goals to set the vision, own the P&L, develop the Go-To-Market strategy, and drive the growth of the practice. Your leadership and expertise will play a pivotal role in achieving growth objectives, establishing a formidable market presence, and ensuring the CAS practice's profitability and long-term success. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the CAS 2.0 service model.

The Chief Operating Officer - Client Accounting & Advisory Services must have at least 10+ years of experience, preferably in a professional services setting, with proven experience in service innovation, process optimization and technology driven growth.

Responsibilities will include:
Guiding CAS firm leaders in developing and implementing their strategic growth plans
Developing the national CAS strategic roadmap with a focus on digitization, process standardization across offices and regions, and leveraging automation to achieve value at scale
Informing critical business decisions, such as which services and offerings we build out, determining pricing and packaging strategies, and developing a compelling value position that ensures Marcum's competitiveness in the evolving market
Developing attractive, scalable CAS services and offerings that resonate with our clients
Developing the Go-To-Market strategy for CAS services and offerings and the Go-To-Market blueprint for client teams to leverage when communicating Marcum's value position
Develop thought leadership that highlights our competitive differentiation, elevates our reputation in the market, attracts great talent to our network, and generates leads.
Develop a high performing culture centered focused on best practices, standardization across CAS engagements to achieve successful growth at scale
Develop strategy to ensure our talent network is prepared to meet the demands of the market
Establish data driven metrics to measure revenue generation, practice growth and to achieve top performing CAS benchmarks
Further introduce offshoring resources into CAS nationally, creating resource pools that drive operational efficiency and cost effectiveness nationally
Working alongside the CAS Technology Transformation team to set an innovative technology direction for CAS
Keeping pace with rapidly advancing CAS technology - its ongoing evolution, options available and their applications - and make financially sound decisions about CAS IT investments and infrastructure
Develop and maintain key vendor relationships, and negotiate critical vendor contracts

Required:
Served in a leadership role in a CAS-focused practice with a proven innovative and forward-thinking approach beyond a traditional accounting firm model
Proven change management leader
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high growth environment
Ability to inspire and embrace innovation
Ability to make data-informed decisions and define key metrics with which you'll measure progress
Background in operational accounting and financial systems
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), budgeting and data analysis
Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Requirements;
Certified Public Accountant
Mid-market or large public accounting firm experience
