Job Description

Amount, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Chicago, IL.

Duties: Produce and implement functional software solutions by using expertise in Computer Science to perform think critically and interact with product managers/engineers to design and build features for decision-making workflows. Work closely with all technical systems to understand the lifecycle of our loan processing system. Participate in improving the build, testing and release processes in technology. Position is 100% remote.    

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field, or the equivalent in terms of education, training and experience plus 5 years of relevant software engineering experience or in a related occupation(s). In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 3 years of relevant software engineering experience or in a related occupation(s).

Requires:

• 3 years of experience working on web-based applications using object-oriented technologies
• 3 years of experience working on financial-related applications.
• Experience porting web applications from .NET to Java
• Experience with Java coding, Java Spring frameworks and testing frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases and database design.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and SOAP web services.
