Very Cool Lab Assistant Position - Belleville, IL (Near St Louis)
Overview: Assist the Admin and Chemistry Teams on multiple tasks: shipping, receiving, logging, preservation, disposal, basic chemistry.
This is unique position located in Belleville, Illinois.
The candidate will assist in the logistics of processing and packaging Water Quality Testing Kits to be sent out and received. (Samples, Containers, Equipment)
The is not a lab testing position but could be asked to complete basic testing processes like checking for PH levels to assist in the process of expediting samples.
They will prepare Kits to get them ready for shipping. They may also receive water sample to be tested and get them delivered to the correct stations at the lab as well.
This position will require r eading very specific instruction and a high level attention to detail
must be adhered to, as samples are labeled, tracked and inventoried.
This is 6 month assignment to start with a possibility of perm or long term, (no guarantees)
Should have good computer skills, perhaps background in science, chemistry, biology etc (could be someone in early career)
Hours should be 8-5 or possibly 9-6 need to be flexible base on over all work load. Could be some OT.
