Job Description:

We are looking for an Analog IC Design Engineer to join our Secure Computing team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As an analog design engineer, you will be responsible for the design and verification of innovative analog circuits that will help to support and protect our security products and embedded controllers. You will gain hands-on experience in custom analog and mixed-signal design and semiconductor device operation as a part of a seasoned design team. To be successful in this position, you will need a strong technical foundation, be motivated and be able to show initiative. You must be able to work well in a team environment, yet also be prepared to work independently.

Join us, and you'll help us to design cost-effective, ultra-secure mixed-signal devices for security sensitive and automotive markets.

Work responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following.
Design and simulate a wide variety of custom and mixed-signal analog circuits.
Create documentation of your design work and present it to peers for review.
Work with layout team on detailed physical implementation of your design.
Work with the characterization team on evaluating and debugging circuits.
Work closely with others and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Solid understanding of fundamental analog circuit design concepts.
Fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics.
Experience with Cadence schematic entry tools and Cadence analog and mixed-signal simulators preferred.
Previous project work in analog design is useful.
Basic knowledge of working in a Unix OS environment.
Ability to learn and operate some Microchip specific internal software tools.
Education & Experience:
BS/MS with 0-2 years of experience is required.
