Job Description
My client in St.Charles, IL is looking to hire a couple of Assemblers – These are Mid Level roles, and the pay rate is $20/hr. MUST HAVE Electrical or Mechanical Assembling EXPERIENCE !!
Job Description:
+ This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products.
+ Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.
+ Interpret assembly and elevation drawings
+ Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies
+ Read tape measure
+ Experience using manual hand tools (wrench, screwdriver, pliers)
+ Experience with power tools (drill, impact, pneumatic torque wrench)
Must haves:
+ Reliable transportation – not accessible by bus line
+ At least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder or even Automotive Mechanic working in a more job shop environment and not on an assembly line
+ Must have knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics
+ Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools
+ Perform basic math functions including an understanding of fractions and decimals
+ Must be comfortable standing throughout the shift
+ Must be able to read, write and converse fluently in English with the level of competency that will permit the applicant to function in the position
Shifts:
1st Shift – 6am to 2:30pm
2nd Shift – 2pm to 10:30pm
