Field Cost Accountant (Field Clerk)
General Summary of the Position: reports to Site Project Manager\Supervisor and performs field cost accounting duties and assists in assuring that contractual requirements are fully documented and met. KEMRON has projects across the US and has openings in the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest. 100% travel may be required depending on project.
Essential Functions:
Perform a variety of general clerical tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, duplicating, and answering telephones
Prepare and reconcile contractor daily cost reports (EPA Form 1900-55) using the EPA Removal Cost Management System (RCMS) on EPA projects and/or Daily Reports on private projects.
Prepare and update the project burn schedule
Procure materials and subcontract services as needed at the worksite, initiate subcontract agreements and purchase orders
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
Bring problems to the attention of the Project Manager, Response Manager, Foreman, Safety Director or HR Manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess strong mathematical and analytical skills
Must possess strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with all staff levels
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Required Education, Training, and Experience:
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform all essential functions of the position
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to communicate clearly with the Client, managers, crew and corporate support staff
Minimum two (2) years of clerical experience
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Must have strong general math skills
Previous accounting skills preferred

Work Context/Physical/Mental Requirements:
Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, asphalt, and hazardous materials
Noise level may be loud at times
Must be able to understand and follow KEMRON SOPs for specific task(s)
Prolonged periods, generally up to 2 hours at a time, sitting at a desk and working on a computer to meet job requirements
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Must have ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for up to an hour at a time to accomplish job duties
Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in an efficient manner
Must be able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned tasks
Ability to work after normal business hours and on weekends on an emergency and pre-arranged basis is required
Special Requirements:
Must possess valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment and have good driving history approved by KEMRON’s insurance carrier that qualifies employee to drive company vehicles
Must understand and sign-off on Corporate and worksite Health and Safety Plan(s)
Must be willing to travel up to 100% and work from a jobsite office trailer
