Nordstrom, Inc. seeks Data Scientist in Chicago, IL
Duties:
Develop new approaches to optimizing Nordstrom's business using quantitative techniques and cutting-edge technology. Collaborate with engineers and product managers to turn business problems into solvable data science objectives. Research and develop machine learning products to drive digital business through new data strategies. Design and develop data pipelines to deploy machine learning models into production. Frame, structure, and prioritize business problems where analytic projects and tools can have the biggest impact. Perform large-scale statistical data research, analysis, and modeling in web analytics, supply chain optimization, and forecasting. Design optimization algorithms and collaborate with others to develop and deploy useful data products and data driven software.
Telecommuting permitted.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field plus 1 year of related experience. Additionally, position requires one year of experience in each of the following:
Experience in multiple programmatic visualization libraries; Experience developing machine learning models; Leading the delivery of high-impact, large-scale data products in production; Experience with inferential statistical methods; and Communicating with stakeholders.
