Previous health-care housekeeping / janitorial experience preferred. 

ClarkLindsey seeks a janitor to perform housekeeping and light maintenance to ensure a safe, sanitary and pleasant environment for residents, team members and visitors. 

In this role, you will meet the organizational expectations for cleaning, sanitizing and organizing resident spaces such and public spaces like dining areas and offices. Additionally, you will respond to work orders, perform set-ups for meetings and events, and, from time to time, assist residents in urgent situations. Attention to detail, desire to keep things tidy and neat, basic maintenance knowledge and skill, and passion for providing consistent quality and customer service are required for this important position.   

  • The hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday - Thursday
  • This is a full-time position

Job Requirements

  • Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, all team members must receive the annual influenza vaccine (exemption requests will be reviewed). We also encourage team members to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Previous experience with cleaning techniques and equipment required
  • Previous experience with basic maintenance required 
  • Genuine desire to assist and provide support to meet the needs of the residents
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to comply with ClarkLindsey's vaccine requirements, or submit a vaccine waiver prior to employment. 
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
  • Must be able to bend, stand, reach, and exert 10 to 40 pounds of force.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
  • Must abide by ClarkLindsey’s HIPAA privacy and security rules as described in the Employee handbook.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public.
