Job Description

Job duties – Manage product performance test programs, technical assessment of data, code reports, and certifications. Develop anchoring solutions and/or repair, protection, & strengthening solutions (including products in our Composite Strengthening System (CSS) product line: Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) and fabric-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) strengthening, repair mortars, epoxies, etc.) for the building and infrastructure sectors. Work with Marketing to develop product technical literature. Provide technical and application support for products. Provide internal support and training as well as evaluation of processes and procedures in pursuit of continual improvement. Recommend modifications and enhancements to improve quality of products. Work closely with code and standard developing committees to advance research and code development of anchoring and/or repair, protection, & strengthening products. Set priorities, goals and timelines to achieve maximum productivity. Manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner. 10% domestic/int’l travel.

Education and Experience required – Ph.D. in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering. We will also accept a Bachelor’s in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering and 5 years of experience in structural design.

Background – Advanced knowledge of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) and fabric-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) strengthening systems. Background with laboratory testing related to mechanical and/or adhesive anchor applications. Research experience (can be gained through academic research or industry) working with code and standard developing committees related to anchoring systems and/or fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) and fabric-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) strengthening systems. Ability to write structural engineering reports and papers. Ability to give technical presentations effectively to engineers, contractors or customers.
