The salary range for this role is:$81,732.56 - $138,934.64

Responsibilities:
The Production Manager is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and driving strategies, that will improve overall labeling and shipping processes to increase and sustain equipment up-time; while lowering repair costs, material inventory levels, and operational costs.

This position reports to the Sr. Operations Manager for the safe, effective, and efficient use of all manpower, materials, parts, and other resources under their control.

Under minimal direction, the Production Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the systems, organizational structure, and processes necessary to achieve and sustain the expected overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). The production manager will have direct reports including maintenance and production supervisors and will be responsible for labeling, shipping, and receiving functions on a three-shift operation. Through their efforts, the team will create a proactive culture which fosters open communication and trust.
Facilitates excellent environmental, health and safety programs.
Develops and controls the production and maintenance budgets that provide for optimized spending to achieve the agreed upon OEE.
Ensures standard work processes are followed. Implements and tracks production and maintenance KPIs. Analyzes operational data and equipment performance history to deliver metrics / KPIs.
Leads the reliability process to continuously improve equipment uptime and reduce related maintenance costs.
Implements and details Standard Maintenance Procedures on plant equipment.
Oversees the maintenance and production workforce, develops skills assessments and training.
Reviews the parts inventory to maintain critical spares, minimize necessary inventory and automate materials requisition functions.
Periodically benchmarks current performance with internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement.
Fosters a culture that does not tolerate equipment failures and seeks to understand and eliminate the causes using techniques such as Root Cause Analysis.
Implements organizational structure, systems, tools, and technologies that promote a proactive approach to maintenance.
Develop and maintain plant preventative maintenance program. Document corrective action on preventive maintenance performed.
Quality and Food Safety - Ensure maintenance of machineries and construction of equipment to meet quality and food safety standards. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Del Monte Foods Quality Systems to assure compliance with quality and food safety requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred, or equivalent work experience with minimum of 5-10 years experience in manufacturing/distribution positions required.
Non-degreed candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of directly-related work experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience in Production Management positions required.
Experience within a food manufacturing setting strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead Root Cause Analysis reviews
Must possess a demonstrated high degree of tact in dealing with both plant staff and maintenance personnel
Prior experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and WMS (Warehouse Management System)
