Job Description

The successful candidate is a strategic and operations expert who has experience and knowledge of specialty drug reimbursement, hub operations, specialty pharmacy trade and patient services. This individual will be responsible for enabling the successful execution of Global Patient Access strategy and activities for the Immunology Business Unit with expansion as appropriate to other products within the company including the design and lead of the strategic plan for patient access including Medicaid, free good programs and reimbursement. This position will work closely with Sr. Director Customer Reimbursement strategy and services, with third party vendors, department business units as well as other internal stakeholders such as Market Access, legal, and compliance. This person will work to develop and execute strategies that enable teams to maximize our patient access programs, our service offerings and improve the access, affordability and reimbursement outcomes for patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Drive strategic direction of Patient Access and Affordability
Collaborate in a highly matrixed but integrated organization to gain alignment on critical strategic imperatives and initiatives that influence greater business value and successful patient outcomes
Supports and participates in cross-functional teams to develop strategies, initiatives and projects that will allow Patient Access to deliver on patient outcomes balanced with business objectives
Accountable for Hub and third party performance including RN services, PAP and copay, execution of plans and identifies opportunities to motivate team members to maximize patient services offerings.

Evaluate and maximize vendors and partners
Consistently evaluate third-party partner patient support network for opportunities to promote operational efficiencies through "right-sized" contractual arrangements including dedicated teams, data fees, contract requirements including performance metrics and enhanced services.
Drive improvements of the patient experience in partnership with patient marketing, other internal teams and third-parties through proper and appropriate score-carding, data driven decisions and qualitative feedback from partners
Applies a six sigma thinking to internal and external SOPs and processes to enhance the customer experience and outcomes for both HCPs and patients
Ability to integrate multiple solutions including SP service programs, Hub programs and other third party offerings to ensure a holistic approach to streamline patient contact and focus on improved outcomes for customers and patients

Optimize Hub operations
Provide knowledge of best-in-class patient support (Hub) programs to challenge business partners to exceed expectations, and not accept status quo
Proactively anticipate market changes and implement strategic process and implementation enhancements to meet business needs
Provide insights, guidance and proven business justification to the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) on potential process or system enhancements that are necessary in order to remain a leading edge patient services and support organization.
Use quality control to drive positive outcomes for team members, customers, patients and vendor partners while also ensuring controls and audits are in place to meet compliance requirements

Enhance and enrich reimbursement process ensuring compliance
Work collaboratively to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies leading to better patient outcomes and differentiated customer experiences
Seek insights from team on current and anticipated landscape, implement processes and tools to drive team's continued success
Encourage cross-functional partnership, teamwork and drive strong morale through leading from the front, provide transparency and visible support
