Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager for a critical new development project involving the rewrite of a legacy system for a prominent financial client. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and closeout. You will need to have a strong understanding of technical integration processes, as well as the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resources.
Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines the scope, schedule, budget, and resources for the program. Be responsible for executing the plan according to its timelines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage communication and expectations with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior executives, business users, developers, and external vendors. Proactively address concerns, provide regular progress updates, and cultivate a collaborative environment.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement a change management plan to address any changes that occur during the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality assurance process to ensure that the project meets all requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate a deep understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and system integration methodologies. Actively participate in technical discussions, collaborating with developers to identify optimal solutions and proactively mitigate potential risks.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive project status reports, providing key stakeholders with clear insights into progress, milestones achieved, and any potential roadblocks.
  • Interfacing with Front and Middle Office Business Users: Effectively bridge the gap between technical aspects and business needs. Foster clear communication and collaboration with front and middle office business users throughout the migration process, ensuring their requirements are understood and addressed.
