Job Description
Develop, construct and implement the next generation of company products and features for Groupon's web and mobile applications; design high-performance RESTful service-oriented architectures and software that is fast and efficient for millions of users; design and implement scalable distributed applications and Big Data pipelines that solve a wide range of business critical use cases; design and optimize data modeling for a given business requirement; develop and deploy quality code by abiding to coding principles; develop and follow standards and best practices through the lifecycle of the project; maintain knowledge of the latest technologies and trends regarding various Cloud technology and infrastructure; collaborate with the Data team, Infrastructure Engineers, and Data Scientists to recognize and adopt best practices in data gathering and transforming Big Data; and interface directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and own automated end-to-end data engineering solutions. Up to 100% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S.; can live anywhere in the U.S. Co headquarters in Chicago, IL.
