Position Highlights:

Position: Expressive Therapist

Location: Naperville, IL

Part Time- 24 hrs/week

Hours: Tues: 11a-7p, Thurs: 11a-7p, Sat: 8a-4p

Provides quality clinical expressive therapy services to patient populations and their families/significant others.Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide therapeutic groups including: art/dance/music, psycho-education, social skills, verbal process, and structured leisure to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
What you will need:
Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant behavioral health field

Music Therapy: Art Therapy & Dance Movement Therapy: A minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant behavioral health field

Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of assigned population

Must be able to maintain regular and punctual attendance, and must arrive at work with adequate time for program set-up.

Ability to maintain information which is highly confidential

Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation

Must be able to demonstrate self-control in volatile or hostile situations

Must be able to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintains therapeutic boundaries with patients during treatment and following discharge

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

Minimum of two years' experience in a behavioral health inpatient setting

Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment
Required License and/or Certification:
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 30 days of hire

CPR certification within 90 days of hire
Preferred License and/or Certification:

Music Therapist- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)

Art Therapist- Registered Art Therapist (ATR)

Dance Movement Therapist- Registered Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT)

CADC if working in addiction services
