Title: Department Manager- Remote

The Martin House Children's Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and resources to child victims of abuse. As a remote Department Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a department within the organization and ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Set departmental goals and objectives in alignment with the organization's overall mission and objectives.
- Manage and support a team of remote employees, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback.
- Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to communicate expectations and share updates.
- Handle escalated issues and resolve conflicts within the department.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
- Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in a non-profit or similar organization.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively lead remote teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in using virtual collaboration tools and project management software.
- Knowledge of child advocacy and child welfare is a plus.
