About the Role
Alight seeks a high-performing Commercial Senior Counsel to join a collaborative Legal & Corporate Affairs Organization. This role will support a rapidly transforming and dynamic business. The focus will be on the growth and development of Alight's technology and services solutions.
Responsibilities
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex technology/subscription and strategic commercial contracts.
Serving as a strategic business partner and trusted legal advisor to drive transformational business initiatives.
Providing thought leadership and innovation in the development of efficient commercial contracting processes and templates.
Providing day-to-day practical, action-oriented advice related to our constantly evolving technology and services solutions.
Absorbing and substantively supporting our technology and service solutions, including relevant industry trends, practices and risks.
Delivering legal guidance and analysis in complex due diligence related to potential mergers, acquisitions, etc.
Making effective use of technology and automation in the practice of law, including contract management systems.
Requirements
Possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
Able to proactively provide actionable guidance and advice, and sound business-focused solutions.
5+ years in-house experience.
Experience in data privacy laws and intellectual property concepts related to technology and service solutions.
Possess learning agility, including a demonstrated willingness to develop expertise in new subject matter areas.
Be detail-orientation and have ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
Have a proven track record of successful teamwork, exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
Display adept ability to effectively present and communicate information to senior leadership and successfully impact decision-making.
Recognize our purpose and values, including high ethical standards, teamwork, client service, work ethic and positive attitude.
Demonstrate proficient negotiating complex SaaS and other technology-related contracts.
Possess Innovative and agile growth mindset to support key transformational projects.
