Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator will provide collaborative support to the Executive Operations Team. This person will work with the team to assist efforts to raise transformative philanthropy. The role requires organizational and oral and written communication skills, efficiency, patience, flexibility, sharp attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism-including a high level of discretion. This position reports to the Senior Associate Director, Executive Operations
The Program Coordinator will draft briefings and organize materials for the President of Northwestern University and Vice President of Alumni Relations and Development (ARD); track the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and prospects; coordinate proposals and gift strategies for the vice president of ARD; assist with the tracking of high-profile donor giving; and support the team's various reporting needs.
This position handles a high volume of high-level information, collaborates with colleagues across ARD, and supports senior University leaders to prepare them for prospect meetings and solicitations. This is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing, collaborative, and efficient professional to join a strong fundraising team of a tier 1 University.
Please note: This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, up to two days remote and three onsite.
Specific Responsibilities:
Writing and Research
Writes briefings for the President of Northwestern University and Vice President of Alumni Relations and Development (ARD), assists with compiling and drafting materials for events with principal gift donors and prospects, and compiles and organizes supplemental briefing materials. The Executive Operations team drafts, on average, more than 150 briefings per fiscal year for the University's President and Vice President of ARD.
Reporting and Analyzing
Serves as a power user of the constituent database and generates reports for senior leaders, including the University's President and Vice President of ARD.
Tracks the communication and interactions of the University's President and Vice President of ARD with high-level donors and prospects.
Records and updates proposals and gift strategies for the Vice President of ARD.
Administration
Assists with managing day-to-day operations of the Executive Operations Team including tracking high-profile donor giving.
Collaboration and Communication
Coordinates with gift officers and teams across ARD to provide information and materials to support the University's President and Vice President of ARD in their development activities.
Serves as liaison to the ARD's Prospect Research and Management team.
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree + 1 year program administration or similar experience; or 3 years program administration or similar experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate and build positive relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
Previous experience in alumni relations and development or higher education.

Strong attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and complete them under tight deadlines.
Proficiency with database reporting and experience analyzing and manipulating datasets in Excel.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Target hiring range for this position will be between 50,000-$55,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
