Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Social Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of preschool-aged children and their families. In this role, you will be working with our wonderful school partners in Elgin. As a Preschool Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and services to children facing various emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. Job Responsibilities:

+ Provide support (whole group, small group, 1:1) to identified preschool students

+ Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success of students

+ Advocate for the wellbeing of students (social/emotional/academic)

+ Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs

+ Provide push in services as needed

+ Run a social group in classrooms weekly

+ Facilitate IEP meetings

+ Create and maintain interventions in order to understand effectiveness of IEPs

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

+ LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois

+ Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
