Description:

Support Coding Leadership by: Daily follow-up HB Coding to ensure timely coding, review assigned accounts for accurate code/MS-DRG assignment. Work and communicate directly with physicians for identified quality reviews(Mortality, PSI etc.); Respond to internal/external coding audits and provide appropriate education to the coding team as needed.

Assists the Coding Manager with the review of staff (Inpatient and Outpatient) (ICD-CM and PCS, CPT, HCPCS DRG or APC) assignments for accuracy and assurance of adherence to the Official Coding and Reporting Guidelines. Assign priority work to staff when necessary. Represents the Coding Department.
