Position Description:
Lead drywall business line operations across company. Develop and promote operational excellence of drywall operations by guiding business units to develop and augment drywall projects and clients.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for drywall groups across company and establish structure for controlled and sustainable growth.
Establish, implement, and reinforce standardized drywall operations policies and procedures including installation methodology, safety, lean, and quality control best practices.
Identify opportunities for drywall operations process improvement and implement best practices across regions.
Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide support and guidance for developing strategic plans for processes required to expand drywall operations.
Provide support to business units for recruiting and developing drywall teams. Provide market research for potential sources of talent acquisition in various regions.
Collaborate with national agencies, engineers, and manufacturers to provide training on new tools, materials, and equipment.
Support and maintain accountability for standardized Preconstruction process to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency across business units. Establish standard estimating database, assemblies, and cost codes for production tracking and controls for estimate reviews of high-risk projects.
Create and reinforce standardized production tracking methods, monitor performance of high-risk drywall projects, and provide guidance and technical expertise nationally. (same as above)
In collaboration with Procurement, identify, qualify, and manage relationships with large drywall suppliers and manufacturers and engage in negotiations for national agreements.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies related to drywall construction. Recommend and implement new technologies to support continued growth.
Integrate companywide sustainable practices into drywall operations, aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program and minimum of 12 years of Building Construction experience, drywall construction, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Thorough understanding of commercial construction industry
In-depth knowledge of drywall and ceiling material suppliers and vendors
Ability to create and drive operational strategy and make sound business decisions
Experience managing Trade employees (Union and/or Non-Union)
Leadership and team management skills in drywall construction
Critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills
Leadership and ability to establish and execute course or plan
Drive to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and build teams
Management experience with ability to direct others that are not direct reports
Commitment to adhere to safety standards and regulations
Interpersonal and relationship building skills
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Active participation in construction industry professional organizations
Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite applications
Travel required
** The salary for this position in NYC is estimated to be $200,000 - $275,000 annualized **
